RUI GONCALVES REBOUNDS FROM TEAM HONDA TO KIMI RAIKKONEN’S ICE1 TEAM

The Formula 1 star’s team begins to look like a contender for 2013 with Boog and Goncalves–a little Finnnish, Portueguese and French flair

Rui Goncalves has been a factory KTM and until recently a factory Honda rider in the 450 World Championships, but he was dropped from the Honda team after a medicore 2012 season. Now, Goncalves will join F1 driver Kimi Raikkonen’s Ice1 team...and the team will switch from Kawasaki to KTM. Rui said, “I am looking forward to riding for the Ice1Racing team, it's been a pleasure to meet everyone. Their goal of working hard and developing the team to be at the top is something I really appreciate. I can't wait to start riding on my new colors - it's going to be a new challenge in my career and I'm motivated and ready for it.” Goncalves will join French rider Xavier Boog at Ice1.
