MARTY SMITH GETS BUSTED BY L.A. POLICE CHIEF CHARLIE BECK

Well, it’s unlikely that Beck will pull his gun, but more than likely he’ll ask for few riding tips

When Marty Smith recieves his Edison Dye Motocross Lifetime Achievement Award, at this year’s World Vet Championship on November 3-4, L.A. Police Chief Charlie Beck will be one of the presenters. Beck, a hardcore motocross racer, is a long-time fan of the Teen idol–Marty Smith. Additionally, Honda mechanic and team manager, Dave Arnold will be on hand and with him will be Marty’s 1975 championship-winning 125cc factory racer as well as the RC400 that Marty rode to the 1977 AMA 500 National Championship.
 
There will be a special Marty Smith display that will include photos and memorabilia related to Marty and an autograph session (including 100  limited-edition art posters, signed by Marty himself.
