Arnaud Tonus, who everyone in Europe said had an MXGP 450 ride lined up for next year, has instead decided to move to the USA and race for the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. Under Giuseppe Luongo’s stupid rule that requires riders to move out of the 250 GPs once they turn 23 years old, Tonus was not eligible to race the 250 class in 2015.
Tonus is currently second in the 250 World Championships behind Jeffrey Herlings. Tonus’ Pro Circuit deal is for two years and will have him racing the 250 East Supercross series and the AMA 250 Nationals next year.
