The 2013 Motocross World Championship will start in Thailand in 2013. Thailand has a three-year contract (until 2015) and since the week after Thailand is also schedule as a TBA race?it can be assumed that it will also be in Asia (your guess of China, India, Philippines, Japan or Korea is as good as anyone elses, but if it’s in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan or Iran there will be travel issues).

The teams will now have to fly to Asia to start the series and then two months later fly to the Mexico/Brazil rounds.

The next missing race on the schedule is on April 14, but since it is not near any fly-away races on the calendar it can be assumed that the April 14 date will be held in Europe (because it is almost a month before the second Mexican GP?which is followed by Brazil). Whenever there is an open date in Europe?it typically ends up in Italy. July is “Remember the Iron Curtain Month” with races in Latvia, Russia and Czecho. The series grows to 17 rounds that start in April and end on September 15 in France.
