PRIVATEERS HERE IS YOUR CHANCE OF A LIFETIME
Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 11.27.27 AM

PRESS RELEASE: “American Motocross, Last Chance of a Lifetime”, a 15 episode documentary series on professional motocross, is now accepting applications from AMA licensed professional motocross racers to join the cast.  www.amxtv.com.

Set to air on MAVTV, the show will provide viewers with an insider’s look at Pro Motocross from a privateer’s point of view.

Any professional racers who have or are eligible for an AMA pro license can apply.  Using what might be described as an “American Idol meets Pro Motocross” selection process, the applicants will be narrowed down to ten riders who will be invited to compete.  One winner will be chosen to join the cast of the show and receive a contract to represent the team in the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series.

“American Motocross, Last Chance of a Lifetime” was created by Dean & Angela Taylor as a way to help a struggling privateer rider get one last shot at achieving their dream.

SNEAK PEAK INTO MXA’s 2015 450 SHOOTOUT

_2151559From left to right: Dennis Stapleton, Tye Hames, Jeremy Lasater, Daryl Ecklund, Austin Howell, and Franklin Noguesras. We had a good group of guys this year.

With every year that goes by the better the bikes get and the harder they are to rank. There is still no perfect bike. But if we could take the best aspect from each bike we would be able to make the perfect bike. Here is what we would take from each bike making the MXA dream machine.

YAMAHA YZ450F
_2151471
We love the SSS suspension and remarkable durability.

KAWASAKI KX450F

_2151568The KX450F’s powerband is race ready right out of the box.

SUZUKI RM-Z450

_2151398Nothing can come close to the RM-Z’s turning capabilities.

KTM 450SX

_2151704We love the push button electric start, hydraulic clutch, and brakes.

HONDA CRF450

_2151639The Honda’s flickability and lightness is confidence building.

HUSQVARNA FC450

_2151900The KTM and Husky are spitting images of each other, but other than the push button electric start, hydraulic clutch, and brakes we also love the FC450 aesthetics.

MXA BLOOPERS: IT TAKES MORE THAN ONE TRY FOR DARYL ECKLUND TO GET THE PERFECT SHOT
_18J0893Trying to get the classic MXA berm shot, Daryl hits a hard spot and high-sides ejecting him off the bikes.

_2152032If your ever going around the track and a corner all the sudden disappears into thin air. It was probably Daryl trying to throw as much dirt in the air as he can for John Basher’s camera. It is hard on the knee’s as well as you can see.

_6139075This was taken right before he ended up on the ground. This is what happens when Basher is ordering him around to get the rear end out further.

_7147714Daryl was struggling getting a good MXA berm shot. Basher began heckling at him. Daryl left nothing on the table, and shot off the track into a tumbleweed hole.

_MEC0352While trying to drag bar to ground, the berm came out packing sand everywhere locking out the front and rear wheels.

_JDB7752Daryl blows out another berm. Funny thing is, he gets mad at others when they blow out his lines.

_JDB7638Basher says,”One more time!” and this is what happens.

_IND4500If you crash on a Timbersled in powder it takes forever to get mounted on the bike. Your legs sink into the snow making the bike 6 feet tall!

_UTA9236John Basher is laughing as he shoots Daryl taking another soil sample.

_4MC6217Yes Daryl crashes a lot in photoshoots. Why? Because usually right before he hits the ground is the perfect shot.
