MARK KALPAKOFF
BERM CANNON MARKETING DIRECTOR

STARTING POINT: “My first job in the motorcycle industry was packing boxes and sweeping floors at L.A. Sleeve. They didn’t like how I swept floors, so they moved me to rider support. I was able to build from there. I got to where I am by following through with what I say I’m going to do.”

THE JOB: “My marketing company represents L.A. Sleeve, Niks Industries, AP Brakes and Pro-X. I basically get paid to spend other people’s money. My job is to push a company in the right marketing direction. I wear a lot of hats. I do everything from trade shows, races, team sponsorship, rider contracts and advertising to brand management. When a big company gives you a million dollars to spend, it’s easy. But many smaller companies don’t have a lot of money, and I have to come up with creative ways to promote their products.”
