JUST THE FACTS AND NOTHING MORE:
1. Stewie led, but stalled all by himself in a tight corner.
2. Villopoto, Dungey and Millsaps got by Stewart as he restarted his bike.
3. Dungey pressured Villopoto for the lead, but could never string enough good corners together to close the deal.
4. Stewie caught back up to Davi, who fell on the last lap to give Stewart a podium spot. Millsaps got fourth and is now 9 points behind Villopoto.
5. Trey Canard and Justin Barcia had a near-miss in mid-air that resulted in Canard doing a Hoppalong Cassidy next to his bike and crashing hard. Very hard and very scary. Canard would finish 19th.
6. Chad Reed got sixth, but was a non-contender.
7. Matt Goerke and Weston Peick finished inside the top ten.
8. Blake Wharton was going to win the 250 East race, but fell down on the last lap. He finished fifth, but was later penalized four spots for cutting the track when he got going.
9. Marvin Musquin got his second straight win…and he deserved it, even though it came as a surprise, because he was the fastest rider on the night.
10. Dean Wilson crashed hard in his 250 heat race and decided to go for X-rays for his shoulder (which was operated on over the winter).
11. Wil Hahn wasn’t on it in Indy, but he pulled out a third on what, for him, was a bad night.
12. Kyle Peters stood on the second step of the podium.
13. Hahn doesn’t have to worry about Dean Wilson anymore, as far points are concerned, but Musquin is on a hot streak and only 9 markers back.
