GET READY NOW! 2009 WORLD VET CHAMPIONSHIP:

PRE-ENTRIES ARE ONLINE NOW FOR THE 25TH ANNUAL MTA WORLD VET CHAMPIONSHIP AT GLEN HELEN; YOU HAVE TWO MONTHS TO LOSE WEIGHT


Ryan Hughes had a mechanical problems in last year’s Over-30 Pro class, but no sweat, he’s won the World Vet crown twice already.

No need to hurry, but Glen Helen wants to warn you that the 25th Annual MTA World Vet Championship event will take place on Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1, 2009. Pre-entries are open already at www.glenhelen.com.

The World Vet weekend starts out on Saturday, October 31, with the $2000 Over-40 Pro race (Saturday also has all the other classes, plus the Over-25 races)

On Sunday, the $6000 Over-30 Pro class is held. All the other classes will be held on Sunday for the Over-50, Over-60 and Over-70 titles. There are no races for Over-25 riders on Sunday. You must be over 30 years to race in the amateur classes on Sunday (and you must bring your driver’s license to sign-up).

This is the largest Vet event of the year with over 15 countries represented.

On Friday Night after the races, Todd Huffman will present his “Monster of Motocross” gala in nearby San Bernardino. More motocross stars than you can shake a stick at show up for the “Monster of Motocross” night.

In addition, three-time AMA 250 National Champion Tony DiStefno will be inducted into the Glen Helen Walk of Fame (last year’s honoree was Bob Hannah).
