The best day for a motorcycle racer is when he goes to his doctor to have the final X-rays shot before the doctor signs his medical release to ride again. The front view (left) of this rider’s broken femur looks good. The bone has healed. the rods are in place and everything is straight. Then, when the doctor looks at the side view X-ray (right) he sees the hole where the screw should be and the screw itself, laying next to the bone. It’s all a matter of what angle you look at it from. The prognosis? One more month without riding.
