Thanks to bad starts, Jeffrey Herlings only led three laps in Qatar (84) during both 250 motos, but they were the ones that counted.

Tony Cairoli was clearly feeling the effects of his ankle injury, but Cairoli’s 2-3 secured him the third spot on the 450 podium.

Clement Desalle said, “Not such a nice GP; very difficult. It was not easy to pass and…it was not nice. I’m disappointed with my mistakes in the first laps. I lost too many positions. In the second moto I just tried to finish and sixth was it.”

The 450 podium was Max Nagl, Gautier Paulin and Tony Cairoli.

Max Anstie should have won. He led 24 laps, but his Dixon Yamaha failed him in moto one when it quit running while he was leading. When it quit again in the second moto while he was leaidng, he throught it had failed again, but instead it had just stalled. By the time it started he was 17th.
