KTM has signed its final rider for the 2015 GP season with Tommy Searle. Searle will leave the CLS Kawasaki team after a less than stellar 015. Searle will join Tony Cairoli and Ken DeDycker on the big bikes

Jeffrey Herlings will return to the 250 class after a heartbreaking loss to KTM teammate Jordi Tixier in the 2014 250 World Championships. Herlings was on the fast track to win the 250 title when he crashed at a charity race, while on an 85cc minicycle and broke his femur. While out of action, Tixier rose to the occasion to erased Herlings 184-point lead and clinched the World Title by 4 points. Amazingly, KTM had fired Tixier, for poor performances earlier in the season, and Jordi was riding out his KTM contract. Tixier signed with Kawasaki for 2015.

With Tixier gone, Herlings’ new teammate will be Latvian Pauls Jonass. Jonass is a former FIM 85cc and 125 Two-Stroke Champion. He raced for Italy’s Marchetti Racing 250 GP KTM team in 2014. KTM has also signed young Dutch teenager Davy Pootjes to compete in the 250 Support class in 2015, but he will get to race a few 250 GPs next season.
