For the seventh round of the 2018 MXGP World Championship in the MX2 class here in Kegums, Latvia we finally have a new winner in the series. Husqvarna’s Thomas Kjer Olsen got to an early lead in the first moto and ran away with the win. In the second moto he kept consistent and finished with a second for the overall. Yamaha’s Jago Geerts captured his best finish of the season with a second. Points leader Pauls Jonass rounded out the podium.

Pauls Jonass MXGP of Latvia_ Round 07_ FIM World Motocross Championship_Points leader Pauls Jonass managed to protect his 22 points lead by getting on the podium.

Jonass_Prado Here in Latvia for the seventh round of the 2018 MXGP World Championship for the qualifying race of the MX2 class. It was KTM’s Jorge Prado who took the win. Jorge sits second in points behind teammate Pauls Jonass. Jonass had a few setbacks and ended up 12th on the day. Yamaha’s Ben Watson finished six seconds behind Prado for second and it was Honda’s Hunter Lawrence that rounded off the podium spot.
