2019 ATLANTA SUPERCROSS | FULL COVERAGE

The ninth round of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross series made its way to Atlanta, Georgia. The event is inside the unique Mercedes Bens Stadium where the Atlanta Falcons play. Coming into the this round Cooper Webb has the points lead by six point over Ken Roczen. Roczen has yet to win a race, but he also hasn’t placed outside the top five. Eli Tomac has looked like he has turned things around with getting his first win of the season last weekend in Detroit. Tomac is known to start off the season slow and build up steam. Could last weekend have been his turning point? Eli sits fourth in point s and only 13 points from having the red plate. We will see what the night brings.

450 MAIN EVENT RESULTS

Cooper Webb 2019 Atlanta Supercross-44Cooper Webb wins his fifth main event of the 2019 season.

The three KTM’s of Cooper Webb, Marvin Musquin and Blake Baggett were one, two, and three of the gate. Roczen sat 5th, Reed 8th and Tomac 11th on the forth lap. Baggett sat less than a second off of Musquin on the sixth lap while Aaron Plessinger was forth. On lap nine Musquin bridged the gap on Webb by less than a half second. Tomac got up to 7th by lap 12 getting by Tyler Bowers and Reed. Musquin made a mistake in the sand and got passed by Baggett on the 14th lap while Plessinger held  on to forth.  On the 17th lap Plessinger went down in the sand and Roczen made his way by. Tomac passed Brayton for 6th on lap 18. Cole Seely moved into the top ten pushing Reed out. Cooper Webb won his fifth 450 main event of the 2019 season! Baggett second, Musquin third, Roczen forth, Plessinger fifth and Tomac sixth.

Blake Baggett_2019 Detroit Supercross-146Blake Baggett takes the first 450 heat race win.

Blake Baggett got off to an early lead with Marvin Musquin second and Cooper Webb third. Osborne was in 17th on the first lap with Mike Alessi 7th. On lap four Osborne worked up to 10th behind Justin Hill. Mike Alessi moved out of qualifying position on lap five. Musquin got without a half second on Baggett on the last lap. Cooper Webb made his way past Musquin on the last lap with Baggett taking the win.

Cole Seely 2019 Atlanta Supercross-35Cole Seely dominates the second 450 heat race. 

Cole Seely lead the first lap with Dean Wilson and Justin Brayton two and three. Ken Roczen started off in ninth and Eli Tomac fifth. Wilson made his way past Brayton on lap two. On lap five Joey Savatgy made his way past both Reed and Tomac. Roczen gets passed Tomac putting Eli back to 8th. Seely led from start to finish with Wilson and Brayton two and three. Tomac stayed in 8th with Kyle Chisholm getting the final transfer position.

Justin Bogle got off to the lead with Cedric Soubeyras, Alex Ray and Mike Alessi all in qualifying position. Scott Champion sat on the bubble. The riders sat in those position all the way to the finish.
