450 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS HANGTOWN

Ken Roczen 2019 Hangtown 450 qualifying-6Ken Roczen is your first moto winner.

Ken Roczen took the early lead in the 450 first moto, but Cooper Webb got the holeshot. 2017-18 champ Eli Tomac stared inside the top ten. Jason Anderson rounded out the top three on the first lap. Tomac made quick work of Osborne and Baggett to work up to fifth by lap two. The next lap Tomac got by Barcia for forth with Anderson in sight. When Anderson saw Tomac behind him he started to match Tomac’s pace. The rain started to come down with 15 minutes to go in the race. At that time, Tomac looked as if he started to fade back a bit from Anderson. With five minutes left to go in the race, Anderson kicked up the pace and started making a run for Webb. At this time Roczen was more than 13 second ahead of Webb. Tomac’s times started to drop and Osborne got by him for forth. Webb made a mistake with  10 minutes left and Anderson and Webb started battling for second while the rain started to come down hard. With three laps to go Anderson finally made the pass stick on Webb. On the final lap Roczen had a 20 second lead on Anderson with Webb in third and Tomac moving his way back by Osborne for forth in the first moto. Roczen won in dominating fashion in the first 450 moto.
