2019 SAN DIEGO SUPERCROSS: TAKE A LAP OF SATURDAY’S TRACK

The fifth round of the 2019 Supercross season is held in San Diego, California inside Petco Park which is home to the San Diego Padres. The one thing that everyone knows about the 2019 AMA 450 Supercross series is that we know nothing about it. The winners list after four rounds consists of cast-offs and the most unlikely two-time winner in recent history. Apart from Cooper Webb‘s sudden return to the form after winning in Anaheim 2 and Oakland he showed in the 250 West a few years ago, neither Eli Tomac, Marvin Musquin or Ken Roczen have stood on the top step yet. And they were the favorites heading into round one.

In the 250 West class, Colt Nichols still holds the points lead by a mere three  points ahead of Adam Cianciarulo.

The 2019 San Diego track has a similar back-to-back whoop section like in Oakland. Long starts have been popular this year and the trend continues in San Diego.
