2019 SUPERCROSS SEASON POINTS STANDINGS

After a very eventful night of racing at the East Rutherford Supercross, Cooper Webb wins the 450 Main Event and extends his points lead in the 450 class.  Eli Tomac put on a charge and made some aggressive moves on Webb, hoping that the points leader would go down, but unfortunately for Eli, he went down instead. Eli finished third and lost five more championship points to Cooper. Marvin Musquin went down hard in the first turn and he was lucky to be ok. He got up and charged through the pack to finish fifth place, but it wasn’t enough to keep his title points alive. With one round left and a 31-point deficit, Marvin Musquin is mathematically out of the equation for the 2019 450 Supercross Championship.

Chase Sexton_2019 Rutherford Supercross-9124With Austin Forkner’s DNF in East Rutherford, Chase Sexton has now taken over the lead in the 250 East Coast Championship.

Austin Forkner had the 250 East Coast Championship in the bag, until he crashed in Nashville and tore his ACL. After he missed the main event in Nashville, Austin still had a 3-point lead coming into the final two rounds. He did everything he could, but unfortunately he couldn’t fight through the pain any longer. After making a mistake while running second in the 250 main event, Austin’s knee gave out on him and the pain was too much to bear. He pulled off and unfortunately it looks like this will be the end of his chances at winning the 2019 East Coast Supercross Championship. Although mathematically he’s not out of the picture, it’s a long shot for him to be able to line up in Las Vegas next weekend and score 10 points over Chase Sexton with an injured knee.
