2020 OAKLAND SUPERCROSS | 250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Qualifying is over with at the 2020 Oakland Supercross and the track is shaping up to be a tough one as the layout is tight and technical and the dirt is soft and rutted. The track also has some very unique sections, one rhythm lane has a slight turning table top in the middle of it. Coming into round five of the Monster Energy Supercross series, the 250 West region is at the half way point of their season and the points are close at the top. Justin Cooper has a three-point lead over his teammate, the defending 250 West Champion, Dylan Ferrandis. Six points behind Ferrandis is the new Troy Lee Designs Red Bull KTM recruit, Brandon Hartranft and one point behind Brandon is the only two-time winner of this season, Austin Forkner. Sadly, Geico Honda will not be represented this weekend as Jett Lawrence was injured at Anaheim 2 and Christian Craig was injured last weekend in Glendale. The Pro Circuit Kawasaki crew is back to full steam this weekend as Cameron McAdoo is back from injury. Stay tuned to MXA throughout the day for results, news and highlights from the Oakland Supercross.

The top 40 riders transfer to the night show.
250 GROUP A QUALIFYING SESSION ONE
The track was groomed after the first round of free practices in Oakland. Today in Oakland there are only A and B groups for qualifying, there weren’t enough riders to make a C Group in either class. Dylan Ferrandis was by far the fastest 250 rider in the first qualifying session. He was the only rider to go double-triple onto the table top in the turning rhythm section. This line, plus his incredible whoop speed helped him pull away from the other riders in qualifying.
