2020 SALT LAKE CITY SUPERCROSS ROUND 14 | 250 WEST OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
2020 SALT LAKE CITY SUPERCROSS ROUND 14 | 250 WEST QUALIFYING RESULTS
The 250 West Coast riders are back in action at the 2020 Salt Lake City Supercross, Round 14 of the 2020 season. Riders like Dylan Ferrandis, Justin Cooper and Austin Forkner were planning on taking just over a month off from Supercross racing and during that time they were going to spend a few weeks preparing for the Outdoor Nationals and then get back to Supercross training before the Seattle SX. Unfortunately the 250 West riders 7-week break turned into a four month hiatus when the Coronavirus hit. However, thanks to the efforts from FELD Entertainment, 2020 Supercross is back in action and the 250SX West boys are ready to drop the gate at Round 14 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
250 WEST OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Justin Cooper logged the fastest lap time in the 250 West division today with a 45.705, but the rest of the top ten weren’t far behind. Michael Mosiman was the eighth fastest rider and he was only one-second back. The track isn’t too technical so far in SLC, but the dirt seems to have better traction than before and there are ruts developing as well. These 250 West riders have had 4-months off since they raced in San Diego and many of them have said that it felt like they had a second offseason. In other news, Geico Honda rookie Hunter Lawrence and Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Austin Forkner got into it today in practice. We posted a video of the incident on our facebook page, click here to check that out. It appears that Austin was frustrated with Hunter for slowing him down on his lap before. Then they were taking a slow lap and Austin cut off Hunter and barely tapped either his handlebar or front wheel going down the start straightaway. They were both going slow, but Hunter wasn’t happy about getting pushed around at his first Supercross. He completely t-boned Austin in the next corner and took them both down.
