KEN ROCZEN IS CLEARED FROM FOOT INJURY FOR SAN DIEGO SX

Cooper Webb Ken Roczen foot injury 2020 Oakland Supercross race -3975Ken Roczen is cleared to race on Saturday in San Diego.

After his run-in with Cooper Webb in the final moments of the 450SX Main Event in Oakland, Ken Roczen sat on the ground and immediately assessed his foot for damage. In the photo above, Cooper Webb checked on Ken after the race to see if he was ok. Ken posted on instagram the following day a photo of his swollen foot and he mentioned that he would be getting x-rays. After getting the x-ray results and doing therapy on his foot, Ken is feeling ready to go racing and the Honda team has confirmed that he will be back on the line this Saturday in San Diego.

Ken Roczen 2020 Oakland Supercross race -3740Honda Racing U.S. posted via instagram: “Team Honda HRC’s @kenroczen94 is ready to rock for San Diego!  He had his right foot checked out on Monday following the Oakland SX and was given the green light that there was no serious damage. He’s been doing therapy throughout the week to alleviate swelling and pain. He rode today and was feeling great! Lets keep the momentum going.”

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: SAN DIEGO SUPERCROSS PITS MAP

SAN DIEGO SUPERCROSS PARKING MAPHere is the sky-view map for the San Diego Supercross pits.

For the seventh time, Supercross is headed to the Petco Park in downtown San Diego. Previously, the race was held eight miles north at the Qualcomm Stadium (now called SDCCU Stadium). Qualcomm wasn’t a very clean stadium, but it was nice because the parking was a lot more accessible. The Petco Park opened in 2004 and it’s a much nicer and more modern stadium with a really cool back drop of downtown San Diego. The only problem about the stadium is the parking and the pits. It’s a challenge to find parking in San Diego and the pits are spread out over two separate areas which makes for a lot more walking if you want to go to the race and also meet your favorite rider in the pits. If you haven’t been to the San Diego Supercross before and you don’t know where to park, click here for the San Diego Padres parking website. Just beware that the “Tailgate” and “Lexus premier” parking lots on the Padres map aren’t available for use since they are the pit area for the riders and teams.
