250 WEST 2020 SUPERCROSS POINT STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 2
Justin Cooper leads the points in the 250SX West class going into round three at Anaheim 2.
The second round of the 250SX West Coast regional Championship was very eventful! Justin Cooper came in hot with the points lead, but he had Dylan Ferrandis and Austin Forkner behind him desperately wanting that top spot. It was Austin Forkner who got off to the early lead at round two in St. Louis in front of his friends and family. Missouri is Austin’s home state and he was motivated to win. Dylan Ferrandis was around ninth or tenth around the first turn and once again the track went straight from the start into a long rhythm section. Alex Martin got sketchy and shot left into Michael Mosiman and then Michael was forced into Dylan Ferrandis’ way and he had nowhere to go. Ferrandis and Mosiman went down and unfortunately Ferrandis who came into the night second in the points, could only come back to finish 15th. Justin Cooper recovered from a mid pack start to finish second place behind Austin Forkner who took the win. Now going into round three, Justin Cooper holds a five point lead over Forkner and Brandon Hartranft shot into third place in the points after scoring his first ever podium finish in St. Louis.
