2020 TAMPA SUPERCROSS | 450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
The 2020 Tampa Supercross is underway and the 450SX riders are excited and ready to get going on the East Coast swing of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season. Coming into round seven, Ken Roczen has a one point lead over Eli Tomac while Cooper Webb sits just nine points behind Ken after winning in San Diego. The track in Tampa, Florida, is unique and once again the track will be a challenging one for the 450 riders. The track has a really long and deep sand section as it did in 2018 when Supercross was last in Tampa. The track also has some big rhythm sections and besides the sand section, the rest of the dirt is dark and has a hard base. Round seven of the season is also the St. Jude Children’s Hospital event and many of the riders and teams have graphics inspired by the patients at the St. Jude hospital. 450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Qualifying is over with an once again it was Adam Cianciarulo who pulled off the fastest lap time of the 450SX class. The track in Tampa is a tough one as it’s hard packed in some sections, rutted on some of the lips of the jumps, the whoops are short but chewed out and the sand section is long, it’s deep, it has ruts and there’s tough blocks down the middle of the straightaway forcing riders to pick a side. The track is challenging and it’s showing in qualifying as many riders have had big crashes early in the day.

450 GROUP A QUALIFYING RESULTS
The sand section is playing a huge part in the lap times so far today in Tampa. Eli Tomac stated in his interview after the first qualifying session that getting the triple through the sand section is very important when it comes to getting a fast lap time. Cooper Webb looks good for the second week in a row during qualifying and he finished the first session only .2 behind Tomac.
