2021 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS 3 PRE-RACE REPORT: ANOTHER DELAYED TV BROADCAST

Jason Anderson 2021_Arlington_Supercross_2-53This is the move that got Jason Anderson penalized 1-position on Tuesday, pinning it down the side of the whoop section. Amazingly, the NBC broadcast team got it on TV and we got a photo of it.

2021 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS 3 PRE-RACE REPORT: ANOTHER DELAYED TV BROADCAST

Round 12 of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season is here and it’s the third and final race in Arlington, Texas. With six Rounds left in the series, Cooper Webb has gained major momentum and confidence, especially after grabbing the holeshot and holding off Tomac and Roczen during Tuesday night’s race. This season, we’ve seen the “residency” races benefit the rider who wins the first night. Houston was an anomaly—there we saw three different winners. Since then, the multiple races at one location has favored one rider. At Indianapolis, it was Ken Roczen. He won three in a row and grew his points lead. At Orlando, it was the Cooper Webb show. He grabbed two wins and gained valuable points. At Daytona, it was an Eli Tomac show, but unfortunately for him, we only stopped there once. Now, Tomac will be looking forward to the Atlanta races which also will be on the infield of a NASCAR track. But, we don’t expect as much sand at those races. Now, Cooper Webb has enjoyed success at the first two Arlington races and he’s feeling good for Saturday’s race on the same dirt, in the same stadium, only days after his last win at the same spot.

So, how do you watch the 2021 Arlington Supercross 3? Well, unfortunately, if you don’t have the Peacock Premium online streaming service then you’ll have to wait two-and-a-half hours to watch the races on tape delay with NBC Sports. If you want to watch it live, you’ll need Peacock. The Peacock streaming service has it’s pros and cons. Pro: you don’t have to listen to commercials. Con: it’s pretty silent during commercial breaks. Pro: you can watch qualifying during the day and consume a lot more Supercross on your Saturday. Con: you can’t fast forward or pause the Live show. If you miss the start, or you miss a crash, you have to wait until the live show is over to re-watch it. But, McAdoo’s decision to cut the track through the mechanics area, instead of entering the track after the whoops, resulted in a three position penalty. This dropped him back to 10th place in the race and second overall in points.
