2021 BUDDS CREEK NATIONAL MOTOCROSS VIDEO: A LONG DAY FOR ONE MEASELY POINT

When all the moto were finished, the front runners maintained their status quo. In the 450 class Dylan Ferrandis and Ken Roczen tied on point, leaving them in the same points picture at the end of the day as they were before the race started. Ferrandis by virtue of his 2-1 took the overall win over Roczen’s 1-2. But the tie hurt Ken Roczen much more than it harms Dylan Ferrandis because Dylan has a 39-point lead with only three races to go. Ken has to make up a bundle to points if he has any hope of capturing his third AMA 450 National Championship, but a tie didn’t do it.

Meanwhile in the 250 class, the two remaining title contenders, Justin Cooper and Jett Lawrence came into Budds Creek four points apart and left Budds Creek three points apart. Lawrence went 2-2 and Cooper went 1-4. The big winner at Budds Creek was Jeremy Martin, who took over third place in the 2021 AMA 250 National Championship with a 3-1 overall victory. Martin is the winningest 250 rider so far this season, but unfortunately he missed three motos early this series with a injured hand. Jeremy came to Budds Creek only one point behind then third place rider Hunter Lawrence, but left 9 points ahead of Hunter, who went 6-3.
