2022 ATLANTA SUPERCROSS: 250 EAST/WEST SHOWDOWN RESULTS
The 14th round of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross series lands in Atlanta, Georgia. The 250 class gets interesting with this being an East/West Showdown round. Austin Forkner is back from his collarbone injury in the lineup. In qualifying, it was Jett Lawrence putting down the fastest lap time, however, Nate Thrasher wasn’t far behind. Will the veteran, Christain Craig show that he has what it takes to beat the kids, or will he play it safe?

EAST / WEST SHOWDOWN MAIN EVENT
Hunter wins the East / West showdown.
Jo Shimoda got the holeshot with RJ Hampshire in second but went down when pressured by Hunter Lawrence. Then when Jett was behind Hunter he went down. On the second lap Craig made his way past Forkner. Hunter Lawrence made the pass for the lead on the fourth lap, however, Craig was right behind them in third.
Craig powered himself past Shimoda in the whoops and set his sights on Hunter.
On the six-lap Jett was making his make back from his crash and walked away from Austin Forkner for 6th. Lawrence then caught up to Thrasher and made the pass into 5th with Mosiman in his sights.
Lap 10 he was up to 4th. Lap 11 to third and looked to get to Craig but there wasn’t enough time.
The results were Hunter, Craig and Jett for the podium.

WEST COAST HEAT 1 RESULTS
Michael Mosiman was the fastest rider on the track, however, a mistake in the whoops cost him the win.
Jo Shimoda got the early lead with Michael Mosiman in tow. Christain Craig was third but caught the first pack and moved passed Shimoda fast. Hunter was fourth and the Thrasher was fifth.
Mosiman went down after the whoops dropping him down to fifth with Craig into the lead with Hunter into second.
Mosiman was on a mission and moved passed Thrasher and Shimora for third. Mosiman was by far the fastest rider on the track, but his mistake let Craig win the heat race.

EAST COAST HEAT 1 RESULTS
Austin Forkner rode like he had nothing to lose. This time it paid off.
Mitchell Oldenburg was riding great in the lead with Rj Hampshire in second, Pierce Brown in third, Forkner in fourth and Jace Owen in 5th. Jett had trouble early in the race and had to work his way through the pack.
With two laps to go Hampshire made his way past Mithcell for the lead with also Jett moving into fifth. Forkner was on a mission as he also got by Mithcell and sets his sights on Hampshire on the final lap. Forkner got the win in the final sections of the track!
