Joey Savatgy took the holeshot but no other than Ryan Dungey would take the lead away. The previous moto winner Eli Tomac got a bad start sitting back in 13th while Chase Sexton sat in fifth. Ken would be the first to get around Dungey and a string of passes would ensue with Anderson and Sexton following the leader. With 22 minutes remaining, Jason Anderson made quick work of Ken Roczen who sat in the lead. Eventually, Chase made the move on his teammate for second place. At the halfway point, Chase Sexton took the lead from Jason Anderson.

However, at 12 minutes left, Chase had a tip-over losing two positions and would have to battle once again to catch Ken Roczen. Jason stalled his Kawi in a corner and soon the three would be in the same corner all at once. The two Honda rider would get around Jason in the following turn. Half a lap later, Chase found traction on the inside of Ken and would once again take the lead.

Chase Sexton would take the win but Jason Anderson would take the overall.

450 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS

Ken Roczen was first across the holeshot line with Antonio Cairoli right behind. Eli Tomac and Chae Sexton started to battle early but Chase Sexton would hit a square edge in a rut and go over the bars. Tony Cairoli’s excellent start would go out of the window as he would go down as well. The luck continued to skip Chase in the race as a rider went down in front of Chase causing the points leader to go over the bars once again. Chase sat back in 25th place and would dial it up to a 10 and make his way through traffic. With 23 minutes left, Eli Tomac made the pass for the lead.
