Hunter Lawrence 2022 Hangtown National-2668

Seth Hammaker would once again grab the holeshot with the Lawrence brothers chasing in second and third. Seth would tuck the front end in a shadowy turn and both Hunter and Jett would fly by. Justin Cooper was riding considerably better than his first moto, sitting in third place with Rj Hampshire in fourth. Justin Cooper would eventually give Jett a run for his money but Jett would ride aggressive, making several passing attempts and riding away with second place. At the 16 minute mark, Jett would fly down one of the hills passing Hunter for the lead but Hunter wouldn’t let Jett run away with it.

With Eight minutes left and what seemed like a battle lasting the entire race, Hunter finally got past his brother for the lead but that still didn’t mean Jett was out of the fight. Two minutes later, Jett would pass his brother back. With two laps left, Michael made the pass on Jo Shimoda for a third place position in the second moto. The two Lawrence brothers duked it out to the finish line with Jett taking the win.

250 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS

Seth Hammaker was quick off the gate to grab a holeshot and with Hunter Lawrence chasing back in second. The track was already considerably gnarly for the start of the first moto as the riders navigated the rutted track. Jett Lawrence and Michael Mosiman started making moves. After five minutes, Seth had already grew a 5 and a-half-second gap. At 23 minutes, Michael put the pressure on Hunter and would be successful on the second place pass. Three minutes later, Seth’s lead began to diminish as Michael closed in on the leader. The two battled side-by-side and Michael would come out on top with the lead.

Pretty soon afterwards, Hunter was also knocking on Seth’s door. Seth would make a mistake on a downhill while Hunter would take a risky move, making the pass for second. With 13 minutes left, Michael Mosiman tipped over in a rut would drop back to third place. With 6 and a half minutes remaining, Jett Lawrence made the pass on Michael Mosiman as Michael begun to mysteriously struggle to keep up with the rest of the pack. With a minute and two laps left, Jett Lawrence and Seth Hammaker got into the mix as Jett drag raced up a hill passing Seth for second while Jo Shimoda made his way around Michael. On the final lap, Jo Shimoda and Seth Hammaker started their 1v1 with Jo coming out on top.
