2022 SPRING CREEK NATIONAL // 250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

We’ve arrived at Spring Creek, also known as Millville and home of the Martin brothers. It’s the seventh round of the season and the points chase is still somewhat interesting as both the Lawrence brothers go back and forth in possession of the red plate while Jo Shimoda looms in third place. What makes this season interesting is the number of injuries that took place near the beginning but have slowed down, leaving plenty of realistic competition for the top three. But the speed of the points leader Jett Lawrence is simply unmatched as the only reason he isn’t further in the points lead was due to a mechanical at RedBud. 250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

This time it was Michael Mosiman who got out front and set a fast qualifying time. But a lap later, Hunter Lawrence would sneak up to the top but still not quite as fast as Justin Cooper’s very fast lap time in the first session. A lap later Jo Shimoda would rise to the top but it would become clear that the smooth track in the first qualifying session would lead to faster lap times than the second session. On the very last lap, Justin Cooper would gain the top spot again.

250 SESSION 1 QUALIFYING RESULTS

Jett Lawrence was quick to set an extremely fast pace for the 250s to catch up on in the first qualifying session. However, it didn’t take long as Jo Shimoda and Jett’s brother, Hunter, were eager to set a faster lap time, jumping up to the top around the 2 minute and 11 second mark. A lap later, the top three shifted in lap times as Ty Masterpool moved up to second with Justin Cooper finding third. With only a couple of laps left, Justin Cooper rose to the occasion setting the fastest lap time with Jett and Hunter Lawrence sitting in second and third, almost two seconds behind Justin.
