250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2020 REDBUD PRO MOTOCROSS NATIONAL 2

It’s Monday and the 2020 RedBud National #2 is underway and ready to complete the second half of the RedBud National double header for Round 5 of the abbreviated nine-race 2020 AMA National season. After Friday’s racing in Buchanan, Michigan, at the RedBud track, most riders are looking for redemption during this second time around while Jeremy Martin is hopping for a repeat of his 1-1 performance. Dylan Ferrandis is especially looking for redemption as he came into Round 4 with the red plate and he returns now for Monday’s racing without it. Now, Jeremy Martin has a 13-point lead on the Frenchman and they’re racing again on the exact same track. MXA is on the scene at RedBud capturing all of the action from Round 5. 250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Ty Masterpool’s fast lap time from the first Qualifying session held up to be the strongest overall in the 250 class.

The Star Racing Yamaha team was already a powerhouse in the 250 class, but now with Ty Masterpool back from injury, the team is even stronger. Ty Masterpool’s advancement from Amateurs to the Pros was unusual. He raced the Supermini class at Loretta’s in 2018, then he turned Pro at Hangtown in May of 2019 and raced the 2019 AMA Nationals. Then, instead of jumping into the 2020 Supercross season, he decided to skip Supercross to get more time on a big bike and get ready for the 2020 Nationals. Sadly, he was injured while prepping for the Nationals and he had to miss the first three rounds. However, it didn’t seem to slow him down at all. Ty Masterpool led many laps in the first moto on Friday before finishing third place and now he’s on it again at RedBud #2 with the fastest overall qualifying time.

Ty Masterpool was very impressive in his first race back from injury. The youngest rider on the Star Racing Yamaha team led for over half of the first moto and held on for third place after just being released to go racing on Tuesday before the Friday event.
