250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS 1

The tenth round of the Monster Energy Supercross season has made its way to AT&T Stadium located in Arlington, Texas. The dirt is a favorite of many of the riders and with plenty of alternate lines on the track, we’re hoping to see some exciting racing. The previous weekend at Daytona, Justin Cooper was the fastest qualifier but it was Cameron McAdoo who surprised with how much speed he had during the Main Event. Cameron’s speed paid off as he took away the points lead from the Star Yamaha 250 rider. With so many riders in the 250 class, it certainly is a lot more exciting to witness qualifying than East Coast class. So who do you think will be the fastest lites rider under the AT&T stadium lights? Will Justin Cooper once again set the fastest lap time or will another rider take away the top spot?

250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

The second qualifying session took off and Jalek Swoll jumped to the front after the practice start. Cameron McAdoo and Jace Owen followed in second and third and soon, Jalek held onto the fastest lap time. Jordon Smith snuck to the top with a 46.07 lap time. Cameron McAdoo put down a very fast lap time with a 45.43 second lap time. There were countless crashes at the end of the whoops section heading into the massive berm following the obstacle. It almost appeared that there were caution flags being waved during the whoops the entire qualifying session. Justin Cooper moved up to second in the qualifying session, pushing Seth Hammaker down to third. Alex Martin and Chris Blose sat in fifth and sixth. Justin Cooper eventually made the pass on Cameron McAdoo for first place in qualifying and Jordon Smith moved up to third place. Seth Hammaker put down a heater, scoring a 45.35, getting past his teammate Cameron McAdoo. For once, the 250 class qualifying times were extremely close, with only two seconds separating the leader from the 20th place rider. Justin Cooper was your overall qualifier.

GROUP A 250 FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION

Justin Cooper has been relentlessly fast when it comes to timed qualifying.

Right off the bat, Justin Cooper ran upfront in the 250 pack to get a clear track to set a fast lap time. Right away t was made clear that the lap times were going to be short as the first lap time was set at 46.2 by Justin Cooper. Shorter lap times often lead to a more hammered track by the end of the night, making it more difficult on the racers. Cameron McAdoo ran in second with Garrett Marchbanks in third. But a lap later, Jordon Smith and Hunter Lawrence took the spot away from the second and third positions. Cameron McAdoo soon grabbed the fastest lap time just beating out Justin Cooper by a tenth of a second. Seth Hammaker moved up to fourth place, pushing Garrett Marchbanks to fifth. Jordon Smith eventually moved passed Justin Cooper as well for the second position and Chris Blose moved past Seth Hammaker with five minutes remaining. Justin Cooper took his first-place position back from Cameron McAdoo with a 45.65 second lap time. HRC’s Hunter Lawrence set a very fast lap time, beating out Cameron for the second spot in timed qualifying with a 45.93. Seth Hammaker moved back to his fourth place position beating out his teammate Jordon Smith. With more than a minute remaining, Jordon Smith and Cameron McAdoo squeezed past Hunter Lawrence for second and third. By the end timed qualifying finished, Justin Cooper still held onto the fastest time.
