250 QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ATLANTA SUPERCROSS 1
Supercross is finally back in the 2021 season after the riders had a long break to stretch their legs, test for outdoors, or for some, keep riding Supercross. It honestly feels like it has been forever since we’ve seen the very exciting indoor motorcycle racing and we’re all here for it. Unlike many of the other rounds though, is the track layout that is being featured for round 13 of the 2021 season. Similar to only Daytona, round 13 is being held in the infield of a NASCAR stadium and will feature several motocross-inspired obstacles but still keeping the spirit of Supercross as the main theme of the race. Long straightaways, varying lines through rhythm sections, and what has to be every rider’s favorite obstacle, but not really, a giant sand whoop section. In the 250 class, we’ve had plenty of new winners in the 2021 season but it would be Justin Cooper who would finally win two rounds, and take the points lead. So grab a cup of coffee, an energy drink, a handful of Five Hour Energys, because qualifying is starting early in the morning, 9:00 AM EST, or 6:00 AM PST.

250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Place your bets, will Justin Cooper once again be the fastest qualifier?
Robbie Wageman jumped to the front of the pack in timed qualifying to get a head start but Carson Mumford and Cameron McAdoo passed shortly after. Cameron McAdoo sat in first place for the first timed qualifying session with Garrett Marchbanks sitting in second. Kyle Peters ran in third place as the riders navigated the longer Supercross course. The lap times were impressively long, sitting around the minute and 50 second lap time region. Chris Blose jumped up to a minute and 44 seconds with Seth Hammaker just barely getting past with a 1:43. One rider we anticipated to be up front the entire qualifying session was Justin Cooper, but with less than four minutes remaining, Justin sat all the way back in 20th place, but one lap later, jumped to second. Since the track was longer, we observed that many riders were taking more time to master the course. Cameron McAdoo put down a very fast lap time, sitting with a 1:39.1.
The second session of timed qualifying was canceled due to inclement weather. First qualifying session times are used for overall.
