250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 SOUTHWICK NATIONAL

The 2021 AMA Pro Motocross season has made its way to Southwick for the fifth stop in the series. The day before, the track was severely flooded from rain provided by Hurricane Elsa but fortunately for the riders, the track’s conditions has made a pretty remarkable recovery thanks to the track crew. Besides the surprise downpour, the 250 class has been quite exciting this year as the points lead remains in the possession of 17-year-old Jett Lawrence as the rest of the field plays catch up. But just because Jett sits on top of the points leaderboard doesn’t quite mean that he’s been the fastest on the track, that title belongs to Justin Cooper. Justin has made it known this year that he means businesses when it comes to setting some seriously fast lap times, usually not too far off from the times in the 450 class. 250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

The wet sand started to produce some excellent riding conditions after the track dried up.

By the time the second session took off, the track conditions were already considerably better. Rj Hampshire was once again the first to set a very fast lap time with both of his teammates Stilez Robertson and Jalek Swoll in second and third. Mac Vohland ran in fourth place with Carson Mumford in fifth place. Hunter Lawrence eventually jumped up to the third place position with Michael Mosiman moving up to fifth place. And for some reason, Justin Cooper was all the back in 27th in the second qualifying session.

250 FIRST SESSION QUALIFYING RESULTS

Rj Hampshire was first around the sand track followed by teammate Stilez Robertson. Stilez’s second place standing did not last long though as recently recovered Jeremy Martin moved to second on the second lap. Then, Justin Cooper and Hunter Lawrence jumped up to first and second with Justin grabbing a 2:17.95 lap time. Justin remained to be the fastest in the first qualifying session.
