250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 HOUSTON SUPERCROSS

The 250 East Coast championship has arrived and we’re eager to see who will impress us at the first round. Even though plenty of injuries have sidelined some of our top picks in the championship, there are still a handful of riders who we think will rise to the occasion and make things interesting. Hunter Lawrence may be an obvious pick for the title but some are forgetting about Jordon Smith who has been grinding this past off season with Star Yamaha. Or even Jordon’s teammate Nate Thrasher? Michael Mosiman, Jeremy Martin, Max Anstie; the list goes on with the addition of several rookies as well. Stay tuned as the 250 East class sets their fastest lap times in NRG Stadium.

The qualifying results for the 250 class are presented to you by Flo Motorsports.

250 GROUP A QUALIFYING RESULTS (SESSION 2 OF 2)

It was close amongst the top 5 in the second qualifying session.

By the time the 250s started their second qualifying session, the track was looking remarkably good. Some ruts in a handful of the berms looked like slot car tracks as the 250 class sped throughout the course. As the 250 pack got going, Hunter Lawrence was quick to set a fast lap time only to be passed by both of the Star Yamaha riders, Jordon Smith and Nate Thrasher. Max Anstie was once again impressively fast moving up to third. With four minutes left, Hunter Lawrence rose to the top as the top four sat in the 52 second threshold. As the minutes ticked off in the second qualifying session, the top five positions would juggle amongst the riders with Jeremy Martin entering the picture. Max Anstie would once again be the fastest rider in the 250 class.

Hunter Lawrence would qualify in fourth place, just ahead of Jeremy Martin.

250 GROUP A QUALIFYING RESULTS (SESSION 1 OF 2)

Nate Thrasher would be the quickest in the first session up until Max Anstie would squeeze in a very fast lap in the last seconds.

Michael Mosiman was quick to set a fast lap time sitting around the 54.2 mark but would tip over shortly after. About a lap later, Jordon Smith would bump to the top only .05 a second faster. However, it didn’t take long for Michael to wipe the dirt off and set a lap time almost a whole second faster, boosting his GasGas to first. Nate Thrasher would best his teammate Jordon as the two would go 1 and 2 at the same time during qualifying. The top 5 were all within the 53 second threshold.
