250 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 ANAHEIM 1 SUPERCROSS
Coming into the 2023 Anaheim 1 Supercross, all eyes are on Jett Lawrence in the 250 West division. The factory Honda HRC rider is a two-time 250 AMA National Champion and he’s last year’s 250 East Coast regional Champion. Team Honda has announced that this is Jett Lawrence’s last season in the 250 class and he’s actually moving up to the 450 class for the 2023 AMA Outdoor Nationals. Although Jett is the clear favorite, he has a motivated group of riders behind him like RJ Hampshire, Austin Forkner, Stilez Robertson, Levi Kitchen, Max Vohland and Pierce Brown.

250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Austin Forkner scores the fastest time.
The track was tough for the first qualifying session, but it’s much better now after Dirt Wurx groomed it. In the second qualifying session they did a practice start and it was Austin Forkner, Jett Lawrence and Pierce Brown at the front of the pack. The split start is very interesting and the first two turns are technical and we expect to see some crashes when the racing starts tonight. Pierce Brown had the fastest time to start and then RJ Hampshire had it for a brief moment before Jett Lawrence took it. Then, with just over four minutes to go in the session, Pierce Brown took the top spot back again on his TLD GasGas.

The track conditions are extremely technical today at Anaheim 1 and lots of riders are making mistakes and crashing. Jett Lawrence was sitting second fastest behind Austin Forkner for a while, and he tried to get a faster lap time, but riders in front of him made mistakes and he made mistakes of his own.
Brazilian rider for the ClubMX Yamaha team, Enzo Lopes, was very impressive in the first 250 Group A qualifying session. He qualified fastest on a privateer bike, ahead of eight factory 250SX riders.
Stilez Robertson had a big get off that caused him to lose his visor, but he got up and kept practicing.
