450 OVERALL MAIN EVENT RESULTS // 2023 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS

The premier class has made it to their seventh round of the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season and thankfully for the fans, things are still interesting in the 450 class and are only going to continue to get interesting as it’s a Triple Crown race day. Three Main Events will be held with the best 450 riders who qualified earlier in the day featuring shorter races and closer battles. The track is much more simple than the previous rounds which showed that the lap times were extremely close in qualifying. So who do you think will take the overall at the Arlington Triple Crown? Will Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton close the gap on Eli Tomac? Find out down below as we report all the action LIVE from Arlington.

450 MAIN EVENT 3 RESULTS

Cooper Webb’s Main Event win would be the tie breaker in tonight’s Triple Crown.

Things would get immediately interesting off the start of the 450 Main Event as Eli Tomac grabbed the holeshot with Chase Sexton chasing in second place. However, things would also get much more boring as the field spread out evenly.

With 8 minutes left in the race, Chase Sexton would tip it over in one of the flat slick turns. Thankfully for Chase he didn’t lose position in the race unlike Justin Barcia who made a big mistake dropping all the way down to ninth place.

With six minutes left, Cooper Webb begun to get dicey with third place’s Jason Anderson. 30 seconds later, Eli Tomac would tuck the front end just after the over/under dropping down to fourth.

Each lap Jason Anderson looked relatively sketchy through the whoops and with almost two minutes left, a mistake would occur nearly sending Jason over the berm and allowing Cooper Webb to move up to second.

But just as Cooper moved to second, he would get first as the mix of Kyle Chisholm going down and a lapper getting in the way would cause Chase Sexton to be held up.

Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton would tie in Event points but Cooper’s win would make him the overall winner.

Justin Barcia made an off-track excursion and an impressive save as he barreled down the whoops section and going over the following berm.

450 MAIN EVENT 2 RESULTS

Cooper would hold off Chase from the second place position in the second Main.

The holeshot was a three way split between Jason Anderson Cooper Webb Ken Roczen. Ken Roczen would eventually make a bobble just before the whoops allowing Cooper Webb and Jason Anderson to take the lead. Shortly after the dragons back, Jason Anderson would make a tight pass on Cooper for the lead.

As the race crossed the seven minute mark, Chase Sexton would close the gap on Eli Tomac as the Yamaha rider would continue to lose traction through the whoops.

The battle between Chase Sexton and Eli Tomac was easily the most exciting part of the race as the two were just inches apart but had a silent agreement to never run into each other. With five minutes left, Chase Sexton caught an immense amount of speed up the dragons back and would pass Eli in the following turn.

Two minutes later, the gap between Cooper and Chase evaporated as Jason continued to race with a 5 second lead.

The battle between Chase and Eli was the best part of the second Main.

450 MAIN EVENT 1 RESULTS

Eli Tomac would win the first Main Event.

Eli Tomac grabbed the holeshot with Jason Anderson going down in the first turn. Ken Roczen was on a charge chasing down the champ in second place with Justin Barcia in third. Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb both got a poor start and with a shorter Main Event time, Chase would have a lot of positions to make up with only 8 minutes left in the race as he sat in sixth.

With five minutes left, Chase Sexton would make the pass on fourth place’s Aaron Plessinger just before the over/under and would only be four seconds behind the leader a minute later. With a minute and a half left, Chase Sexton would roll the dice and make a pass attempt on Justin Barcia. After unsuccessfully taking the inside on Justin, Chase would be quick to slide past a turn later and leave unscathed.
