450 OVERALL RESULTS | 2020 REDBUD PRO MOTOCROSS NATIONAL 2
It’s Monday and the 2020 RedBud National #2 is underway in Buchanan, Michigan, for Round 5 of the 2020 Pro Motocross series. With only two days off in-between, Zach Osborne, Eli Tomac, Adam Cianciarulo, Justin Barcia, Marvin Musquin and the rest of the stacked 450 field are back in action and everyone except Osborne is looking for redemption on the points leader who managed to grab two holeshots and two moto wins on Friday. Marvin Musquin logged the fastest qualifying time this morning at RedBud with Eli Tomac 7th fastest and Zach Osborne 9th fastest. Qualifying is always a good gauge to see who is doing well, however it doesn’t pay any money or championship points. MXA is on hand the RedBud National track, so stay tuned for news, photos, race results and more from Round 5 of the abbreviated nine-race season.

450 OVERALL RESULTS
Adam Cianciarulo wins his first ever 450 overall with 1-3 Moto scores.
Adam Cianciarulo grabbed the holeshot once again with Joey Savatgy and Zach Osborne behind him. Unfortunately, second place finisher and former champion Eli Tomac crashed in turn two and he would start the race in almost last. Justin Barcia and Chase Sexton were also caught in the crash on the start and they got up in front of Tomac. Osborne passed Savatgy for second while Musquin, Baggett and Anstie pressured him. After 10-minutes of racing, Joey Savatgy went down and actually caused Musquin and Anstie to go down. Baggett benefitted and passed from sixth to third while Eli Tomac made his way to 10th place with 17-minutes to go. Next, Eli had to set his sights on Freddy Noren for ninth. Still, Adam Cianciarulo led with Osborne in second. With 10-minutes to go, Eli Tomac was up to eighth with Sexton ninth. At the later stages of the race, Adam Cianciarulo got caught up with a lapper and went down dropping back to third. Then, two laps later Blake Baggett passed Zach Osborne and took over the lead in his old El Chupacabra style. Blake was fast all moto and after passing Osborne he pulled a gap immediately. Chase Sexton managed to pass Eli Tomac and Christian Craig to get into sixth, but then he went down with two laps to go and let them back by.

4-2 Moto scores are good enough for Zach Osborne to extend his points lead over Eli Tomac.
450 MOTO 1 RESULTS
Adam Cianciarulo grabs his first ever 450 Moto win.
Adam Cianciarulo grabbed the holeshot with Osborne in second and Marvin Musquin third. Quickly, Eli Tomac passed Musquin and then Sexton got around him as well. Later in the lap, Tomac made a mistake that slowed up Sexton and let Musquin get back into fourth. After lap one, Cianciarulo had a 2.2-second gap on Osborne while Tomac pressured the points leader. Meanwhile, Justin Barcia slammed into Musquin in the turn before Larocco’s Leap and sent him off the track, but he rejoined in sixth only losing two positions. Halfway into the race, Adam Cianciarulo still held onto the lead with Osborne and Tomac close behind. Justin Barcia, Marvin Musquin and Blake Baggett picked up the pace and caught up to the rear wheel of Eli Tomac, but neither of them could make a move and with just a few laps to go, Tomac was able to pass Osborne for second. At this point, Tomac set his sights on Cianciarulo with three-laps left and Musquin made a pass on Barcia for fourth. Still, on the last two laps, the top six riders were all within 9.9-seconds from each other. With the white flag out, Musquin passed Osborne for third position while Tomac chased Cianciarulo. At the end of the race, Cianciarulo held on to win his first ever 450 Moto with his teammate pressuring him at the finish.
