450 QUALIFYING RESULTS | EAST RUTHERFORD SUPERCROSS (UPDATED)
Marvin Musquin qualified fastest for the first time since the Daytona Supercross earlier this year.
The East Rutherford Supercross is officially underway at the MetLife stadium. The 2019 season is coming down to it’s final stages and the pressure is high for Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac. With an 18-point lead, Webb isn’t in a must-win situation, but he also can’t coast it home quite yet. We did the math, and if Eli Tomac wins tonight in East Rutherford and next weekend in Las Vegas, then Cooper will have to finish 5th and 6th, or better at the final two rounds to win the Championship. If Cooper finished 6th in the final two races and Eli Tomac wins both of them, the two riders will tie in points and Eli Tomac would win the tie-breaker by having more wins.
The track is looking good in some spots, but it’s starting to get rougher as it breaks in. Marvin Musquin is looking good in East Rutherford, he qualified fastest for his third time of the season. Ken Roczen and Justin Hill both had big crashes in the second session, but they both were able to get up quickly and they seemed to be ok.

The Top 40 advance to the night show.
Ken Roczen had a big crash in the whoops, but he got up quickly and looked to be alright. He qualified second in East Rutherford.
It rained yesterday, but it’s nice and sunny with a little bit of wind today in New Jersey. Because of yesterday’s rain, the AMA decided to cancel the riders free practice, so their first time on the track was in the first 450 qualifying session.
