450 QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS 2
The premier class is back under the lights of AT&T Stadium for the eleventh round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. This will be their second of three rounds in Arlington as the riders and teams take up residency in the Lone Star State. While it was a short weekend for the riders to relax, the mechanics were hard at work preparing the race bikes for the next round in a very short amount of time. It is all hands on deck at the Honda and KTM rigs as the championship has gained a new points leader, Cooper Webb, Ken struggled the weekend prior in both the Heat Race and Main Event, specifically in the starts. While we saw this happen to Justin Cooper as well, it’s exciting to see the two go back and forth in the racing. So get your fantasy picks ready as we examine the fastest lap times in AT&T Stadium.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Dylan Ferrandis qualified in eighth in the first round of qualifying.
Both Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen ran up front of the pack to get a clear track when the second round of qualifying took off. However, it was Eli Tomac who set the fastest lap right away with Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb sitting just behind. After a handful of laps, GasGas’s Justin Barcia jumped to the top beating out Eli Tomac for the first place position. Webb quickly took back the first place spot and Dylan Ferrandis went down hard in one of the rhythm sections. Eli Tomac quickly jumped back up to the top spot with two minutes remaining, sitting in the 50 second lap time.

After struggling on Saturday and finishing 6th place, Ken Roczen said this: “My Saturday started off pretty good. We felt good in qualifying practices and went into the night show with a good start. I was on the outside of [Dean] Wilson, and with the 90 degree angle, got pushed wide a bit to fourth. I made a pass into third and tried to get by Dean a couple of times, but made a mistake trying to triple in. I didn’t make it and ended up going down, dropping back to seventh, which unfortunately gave me a bad gate pick for the main event. The rut was really messed up, so that start wasn’t good in the main at all. I wasn’t moving forward at all in the main, struggled to make some passes and only ended up coming in sixth. It wasn’t the result that we wanted, but we come back on Tuesday; we’ll let go of this race and come back and try again. The good thing is that this wasn’t the final round, by any means. We have a lot of racing left and plenty of time to redeem ourselves. For Tuesday, we want a bit of revenge and to try to start up front so I can ride with the front runners and see what position we can put ourselves in.”
Cooper Webb had a big crash in the whoops during the first qualifying session. But he rebounded and rode strong in the second qualifying session.
Justin Barcia looked comfortable today in qualifying.
450 GROUP A FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION
Jason Anderson is done playing games as we’ve seen the 21 play more aggressively on the track.
After struggling on Saturday, Eli Tomac has turned his momentum around for the Tuesday night race. So far he was the fastest in the free practice session and fastest in the first 450 qualifying session. Eli Tomac said that he liked the track today and he’s enjoying it right now. He said he made a change to the bike after the race on Saturday and he’s very happy with it. He also said that the track is loose and slick.

Eli Tomac underperformed at the last round. Will we see similar results again or will the 2020 champ put the pedal to the metal and win another Main Event in the 2021 season?
