450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ATLANTA SUPERCROSS 3

The premier class is back in Atlanta Motor Speedway for the 15th round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. The Atlanta 3 track is massive and will have the riders spending 1/3 of their time riding in the air with how much rhythm there is. This is easily one of the more challenging tracks showcased this season and features double the sand, whoops, and a handful of go-big-or-go-home obstacles. Out of the three Atlanta Supercross tracks, this one is also the least Moto-inspired track despite the track length being double that of a normal SX track. Heading into round 15, Cooper Webb still leads the championship with Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac in second and third. However, Cooper had a very lackluster performance on Tuesday at Atlanta 2, letting Ken Roczen get the win and begin to close the points gap. So who will grab the win in the premier class today? Will Cooper Webb extend his lead in the points or will we see another rider grab a victory in Atlanta? Find out down below as we report LIVE from Hampton, Georgia for the 15th round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season.

450 GROUP A FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION

The track got pretty dusty by the time the 450s begun qualifying.

Qualifying took off for the premier class and Cooper Webb was quick to put down a fast lap time. It was apparent that the top 450 riders were already taking some big risk lines, like jumping over the entirety of a sand section and completing multiple quads. Jason Anderson moved to the top with a 1:38 lap time but Ken Roczen stole the thunder a lap later with a very close 1:37.9. With two sets of whoops, the riders who were best at completing the 18 pointy obstacles were quick to jump up to the leaderboard. Jason Anderson set a lap time a whole second faster than Ken Roczen with only a minute and a half remaining. Ken’s teammate, Chase Sexton, moved to the second place position.
