450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ORLANDO SUPERCROSS 2

The premier class is back in Orlando for the second time in the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. With the track conditions being significantly better, the track is turning out to be similar to California test track conditions. Dry, hard packed, and clear ruts formed, the Camping World stadium track didn’t change much in layout compared to the prior round. The reason being that Florida had been plagued with poor weather so the Orlando 1 track was tarped and persevered for the second round. Some jumps were changed but the basic layout of the track remains the same. Last week we saw Adam Cianciarulo and Cooper Webb sit on top of the leaderboard for the fastest times. Who do you think will rise to the top now that the track conditions are more controlled? Find out down below as we report LIVE from Camping World Stadium for the eighth round in the 2021 season.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING

Cooper Webb charged ahead of the pack in the second qualifying session and already started running a 50 second lap time. In second sat Jason Anderson and Marvin Musquin in third. Soon Adam Cianciarulo pushed up to second place but then was shortly passed by his teammate Eli Tomac and Marvin Musquin. Red plate holder, Ken Roczen sat all the way back in 11th, but 11th was only two seconds behind the leader. The track was getting pretty banged up at this point and the 450 class was jumping through the whoops rather than skimming them. Jason Anderson fell down to third place while the top six riders were all in the 50 second lap times. With a minute remaining, only three seconds separated the first place and last place riders. However, Jason Anderson ran a heater on the last lap and moved up to the fastest lap time of the day.

450 GROUP A FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION
The red plate holder qualified in 16th in the second session, but only 1 second behind the leader.

Cooper Webb scoping out the track in the track viewing session. Cooper has been significantly stronger in qualifying than year’s past. Will he be able to get in front of Ken Roczen in the points lead?

As per usual, the 450 qualifying times were all over the board. The top place positions changed at least 10 times within the first two laps. Justin Barcia went down hard in qualifying with 6 minutes remaining but managed to get off the track. Cooper Webb jumped up to the front of the premier class followed by Jason Anderson and Ken Roczen. Ken showed incredible speed and moved to the top of the leaderboard passing his rival Cooper Webb. However, someone we haven’t seen at the top was Dylan Ferrandis, as the French rider flew past and took away the top position. Cooper Webb also made the pass on Ken. From first to 20th, only four seconds separated the riders. Eventually, there were five riders sitting in the 50 second lap time; Dylan Ferrandis, Cooper Webb, Ken Roczen, Adam Cianciarulo, and Marvin Musquin. Dylan remained in possession of the fastest lap time.
