450 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS
Things are closer than ever after the seventh round in the points chase as Eli Tomac leads the charge with Cooper Webb only two points behind and Chase Sexton just 5 points back. However things are changing this year at Daytona, by not changing. Ricky Carmichael, who has been designing the track layout for years now, has elected to keep the track layout the same so that the riders may “master” the course just like an outdoors track or a road course. While this seems pretty cool, it also means bad news for anyone who has to race up against Eli Tomac, who has won 6 times at the Speedway. So who will be the fastest on the hybrid track? Find out down below as we report all the action LIVE from Daytona!
Qualifying for the Night Show is brought to you by FXR.

450 GROUP A QUALIFYING RESULTS (SESSION 2 OF 2)
Chase has found some fast lines each weekend with this weekend being no different.
As impressive as Chase Sexton’s previous time was, it only took a minute for Chase to completely smoke the previous time by a whole second. Ken Roczen was just under half of a second slower than the leader with Jason Anderson being the last rider to race in the 1:12 lap time. Eli Tomac would sit in fourth and Rj Hampshire, who this is his fourth day on a 450, would round out the top 5 in qualifying in the second session.

450 GROUP A QUALIFYING RESULTS (SESSION 1 OF 2)
Justin Barcia was looking very quick in the first session but Chase Sexton, Ken Roczen, and Cooper Webb would steal the thunder in the last moments.
While the 450s are extremely fast in a normal stadium, they shine at Daytona as the track’s moto-inspired sections with long straightaways allows the power to be fully used and it showed in the lap times of the first session. The top riders in the class were almost a second and a half faster than Hunter Lawrence’s 1:14. Justin Barcia held an impressive lap time up until Chase Sexton and Ken Roczen rose to the occasion grabbing the fastest lap times of the first session.
