450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 DETROIT SUPERCROSS

A great disturbance in the points championship was felt last weekend as Cooper Webb dethroned Eli Tomac’s grip on the red plate. Now that qualifying has commenced for the 450 class here at the very crispy Detroit Supercross, we can’t stop thinking of how unusual Eli’s bike looks with white backgrounds, and we can’t stop thinking of how epic Ken Roczen’s win was. If you been living under a rock this season, the news is that Ken Roczen won on a Suzuki breaking the long hiatus that developed in 2016. Now, Cooper Webb holds the red plate and we are stoked that the championship isn’t just a cake walk for rider….looking at you 250 guys. It was also revealed that Eli Tomac had sustained a strained neck prior to Indy and we wonder if he’ll be at 100% this weekend.

The 450 Qualifying results are brought to you by FXR Racing.

Chase Sexton really has this whole qualifying thing figured out.

As the second qualifying session took off, Ken Roczen was absolutely flying for a handful of minutes before being edged out by former teammate Chase Sexton by just .16 of a second. Jason Anderson would eventually pass the two but on the last lap, Chase Sexton would take his top position back.

450 GROUP A QUALIFYING RESULTS (SESSION 1 OF 2)

What do you think these two are looking at?

Qualifying would commence and surprise-surprise, Chase Sexton would march his way up to the front. Jason Anderson would also be the only rider to match a similar time, with the two sitting in the 52 second lap time margin. Eli Tomac would sneak into the third place position and only five other riders would follow his lead into the 53 second lap time. The track is proving to be insanely slick as the riders continued to qualify on it.
