450 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 INDIANAPOLIS SUPERCROSS
The 2023 Indianapolis Supercross is underway and we have qualifying results rolling in. The Indy SX track is known for its soft and rutty conditions, which has the Dirt Wurx crew working overtime, to try and make the track safe for the riders. Coming into Round nine of the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season, Eli Tomac has a 5-point lead on Cooper Webb and a 10-point lead on Chase Sexton. The Indianapolis Supercross is at the halfway point of the season. However, it’s a little hard to say that because it’s a 17-race series (so the technical halfway point would be at the halfway point into the Indy 450SX Main Event).
The 450 Qualifying results are brought to you by FXR Racing.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

With each qualifying session, the gate is dropped, giving the riders a chance to practice the start. For the second qualifying session, Cooper Webb lurched out of the gate fast and went left, which sent him into Ken Roczen’s line and into Eli Tomac as well. Ken Roczen didn’t look happy about it, but he held his composure and went on to score an ultra quick 45.3 second lap time later in the session.
In the end, it was Chase Sexton who scored the fastest qualifying time of the 450SX class with Roczen, Anderson, Barcia, and Tomac rounding out the top five. However, the top eight riders were all within one second of each other’s quickest times, which is extra impressive on a rutted and technical track.

450 GROUP A QUALIFYING SESSION ONE RESULTS
Chase Sexton is the fastest in 450 Q1 (once again).
The track is rutted and soft today at Indianapolis, and because of that, the Dirt Wurx crew is spending more time on the track to prep the lips of the jumps, just to make the track a little safer. This pushed the schedule back just a little bit for the daytime qualifying sessions.
In the first 450 qualifying session, it was Ken Roczen who topped the board first, with Eli Tomac logging a quick time in second. Then, as usual, Chase Sexton logged an ultra-quick lap, scoring the top time by almost half a second on Jason Anderson.
