450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Adam Cianciarulo completes his final qualifying session.

Grabbing the holeshot in the practice start for the second qualifying session was Chase Sexton who immediately had Jason Anderson go around him. Anderson wanted to get in his quick time with a clear track so he knew he had to get up into the lead. Malcolm Stewart was able to grab the fastest lap prior to the midway point of the session followed by Cooper Webb. Lawrence and Sexton were slow to start as they were looking for optimal lines. Sexton would put in a hot lap and move to the top of the leaderboard by almost a full second over Stewart. Jett Lawrence would eventually move into second but Chase Sexton would maintain the lead heading into tonight’s racing.

450 QUALIFYING RESULTS SESSION 1 GROUP A

Jett Lawrence is looking comfortable this afternoon in Salt Lake.

Jett Lawrence started slowly, taking a technical look at the track. Cooper Webb was the first rider to set a quick time, but it didn’t last as Chase Sexton soon broke into the 53-second range. Within a few laps, Jett Lawrence matched this pace, moving into the lead position. Justin Barcia was also quick early on, holding third place until the halfway point when Malcolm Stewart regained the spot. Within a couple of laps, Stewart moved into second, continuing to put in fast laps, but he couldn’t maintain his position as Sexton and Justin Cooper moved ahead of him. In the final laps, Chase Sexton took the pole position from Jett Lawrence and maintained it until the session concluded.
