450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 ST. LOUIS SUPERCROSS (UPDATED)

450 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 ST. LOUIS SUPERCROSS

Action continues here in St. Louis as the 450 class has hit the track, and riders are looking to set themselves up in the best possible positioning for racing this evening. Last weekend, riders like Jett Lawrence, Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton, and Cooper Webb all had great qualifying times. But as the track deteriorated into the evening, the riders who maintained that speed were able to grab the best results. Jett Lawrence made a small mistake when he came in too quickly in one of the corners and ran into the back of Cooper Webb, sending Lawrence to the ground. He is looking for redemption this weekend as he was the fastest on the track. It all begins in qualifying, and we will see how he can manage the track here this evening.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Hunter Lawrence was able to grab the holeshot on the practice start in the second session.

Off the gate drop in the second 450 session, it was Hunter Lawrence grabbing the early lead, where he went to work putting in his fast times. Jett Lawrence and Cooper Webb ended up right next to each other in the opening laps, allowing them both to see their line choices and where they are quick. Though the first rider to top the list early in the session was Ken Roczen, who has been in this position time and time again. Things would shuffle up as the session continued, and riders started to find their groove. Soon it would be Jett Lawrence once again who was able to top the list and is looking close to perfect this afternoon, trying to make up for the mistakes made last weekend. However, towards the end of the session, a rider we’ve seen so fast in qualifying before, Justin Cooper, was able to grab the quickest time, beating out Jett Lawrence’s quick time. But in true Jett Lawrence fashion he was once again able to grab the fastest lap on the final laps. Jett would take this time and be the fastest qualifier into the evening racing.

Aaron Plessinger struggled a little bit on the track and is looking to find some speed in tonight’s main events.

Cant Count out Chase Sexton headed into tonight’s racing as he too was able to grab a quick time and stayed consistent through the session.

450 QUALIFYING SESSION 1 GROUP A

Eli Tomac is looking very fast and comfortable on this track in St. Louis.

In the first 450 session, both Cooper Webb and Jett Lawrence took it slow in the first couple of laps to see how things had changed since the free practice and where they could make up time in the session. One of the riders who attacked the track from the beginning was Eli Tomac who was able to put himself on top early. Though it would not last long, as Jett Lawrence began his attack on the track and quickly moved into first he would continue putting in fast laps trying to better himself each lap. Cooper Webb would get up to speed and move into third followed directly by Chase Sexton. Towards the end of the session, things would switch up quite a bit as Lawrence was able to break into the 55-second lap time which was a second faster than anyone else until Chase Sexton was able to challenge it by getting a time in the 55-second range as well. Lawrence would lead them out of the qualifying session.

Jett Lawrence always finds a way to improve his time when he’s at a slight deficit.

Roczen is looking smooth, having a time within a second of the rest of the pack, though probably not the result he was looking for.
