450 MAIN EVENT RESULTS FROM THE EAST RUTHERFORD SUPERCROSS
Round 16 of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season is over and done with and the results are in! The 2019 East Rutherford Supercross was another epic night of racing and it fit right in with the rest of the season as another exciting race. After lots of rain fell in East Rutherford on Friday, the Dirt Wurx crew had their work cut out for them to make a good race track.
Cooper Webb grabbed the holeshot and the early lead in the 450 Main Event with Eli Tomac right behind. After playing cat and mouse, the two title contenders battled back and forth before Eli was finally able to establish a lead. It looked like Eli would pull away until he went down in the whoops and dropped back to fourth. Zach Osborne then put on a charge an caught up to Cooper Webb and made the pass for the lead. Zach led for just a lap before he made a mistake and almost went off the track which gave the lead back to Webb. Eli Tomac pushed hard and caught all the way up to Cooper Webb with two minutes left in the race, but another crash in the whoops, identical to his first crash, would drop him back to third. Cooper Webb wasn’t the fastest rider today, but he was the most consistent.
