450 RACE RESULTS | 2021 FOR RACEWAY 1 NATIONAL

The first round of the 2021 AMA Pro Motocross National Championship is being held in Pala, California at the Fox Raceway track. The track has been closed for over a month in preparation for the season opener. This season in the 450 is slacked! While many of the top racers in the class are based in Florida, this Socal track may not suit their style. However, Adam Ciancairulo who lives in Florida laid down the fastest lap of the day by over a second to Marvin Musquin. Last years winner at Fox Raceway was Chase Sexton. We are also looking for him to be a fierce competitor at round one in Pala. Here is how to first round of the 2021 Pro Motocross National Championship went down.

450 OVERALL RACE RESULTS | FOX RACEWAY

Dylan Ferrandis in his first-ever 450 national wins the overall. 

Aaron Plessinger got the second 450 moto start. Ken Roczen was second with Cianciarulo in third. Before the first lap ended Roczen passed Aaron for the lead. On the fifth lap Barcia passed Osborne for 4th place and Ferrandis passed Osborne as well. Barcia charged ahead to catch Cianciarulo to pass him for third. On the next lap Ferrandis passed Cianciarulo for 4th. Plessinger started to put pressure on Roczen for the lead. With Roczen and Plessinger over 20 seconds ahead, the real battles were behind them from Tomac, Webb, Sexton, Musquin and Craig. Sexton went down on the start and caught up to the top ten. Roczen may have won the moto but Ferrandis won the overall.

450 MOTO 1 RESULTS | FOX RACEWAY 

Dylan Ferrandis won the first 450 moto by 0.099 of a second to Chase Sexton!

Adam Cianciarulo got out to an early lead with Webb, Ferranids, Roczen and Sexton in the top five. Aaron Plessinger passed Sexton for 5th on the first lap. Tomac started the first lap in 8th and Osborne 11th. Cianciarulo crashed on the fifth lap putting him back to fourth letting Webb take the lead. Shortly after Ferrandis passed Webb for the lead. On the 8th lap, Sexton moved his way past Webb for second place. Justin Barcia kicked it in another gear with about 10 minutes left passing Plessinger for 5th and passed Cianciarulo not long after for 4th. On the 11th lap, Barcia made it past Webb for 3rd. On the second to last Aaron Plessinger made two passes going from 5th to 3rd. Dylan Ferrandis won by only 0.099 of a second to Chase Sexton who put on a late moto charge.
