450 MAIN EVENT RESULTS // 2023 DENVER SUPERCROSS

The premier class is coming to a wrap as only two rounds remain in the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season. Eli Tomac has a respectable lead over Chase Sexton after several race-winning contenders took massive hits in Nashville. Cooper Webb, Justin Barcia, and Jason Anderson are sidelined for the rest of the season which will make it tougher for Chase Sexton to get breathing room in the Main Events. While Eli Tomac has the option of playing it safe, it’s now or never for his opponent Chase Sexton so we expect the Honda rider to send it in the night show.

MAIN EVENT RESULTS

Kyle Chisholm grabbed the holeshot as his teammate Ken Roczen went down in the first turn. After a lap, Eli Tomac would take the lead while Chase Sexton sat back in sixth.

Chase maneuvered his way past Colt Nichols and Eli Tomac would pull off the course holding his leg. Eli would head to the Alpinestars rig and DNF. Chase Sexton would later take the lead as Adam Cianciarulo raced in second. It appeared Eli dabbed his heel on a landing.

With five minutes left, Ken Roczen made the pass on Adam Cianciarulo for second after being in dead last.

HEAT 2 RACE RESULTS

Chase secured the second Heat race win.

Eli Tomac grabbed the holeshot and the Colorado crowd went absolutely bananas. Seriously, the stadium erupted. We’re not so sure Eli meant it when he said he was going to play it safe. The HRC riders Chase Sexton and Colt Nichols chased in second and third. But as the leaders clocked in their laps, Chase Sexton closed the gap and made the pass with two and a half minutes remaining.

The most impressive part, besides Eli’s gap after the holeshot, was how quickly Chase reeled in the points leader.

HEAT 1 RACE RESULTS

Ken Roczen won the first 450 Heat Race after passing his teammate Kyle Chisholm. Kyle would finish back in fourth after both Justin Hill and Adam Cianciarulo made two passes.

Suzuki teammates Kyle Chisholm and Ken Roczen crossed the holeshot with Kyle leading the first half of the first lap but would later give it to Ken Roczen. Adam Cianciarulo later moved up into second place after passing Kyle. Justin Hill would also pass Kyle Chisholm and not much else would happen in the first 450 Heat.

LCQ RACE RESULTS

The 450 LCQ was probably the most civilized LCQ we’ve seen in a while with the transfer position riders holding their spots for pretty much the entire race.
