Racing is here in Arlington Texas for the seventh round of the Monster Energy Supercross series. Earlier today Jett Lawrence looked extremely fast grabbing the quickest time in qualifying but it did not come easy as riders like Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac, and Justin Cooper were all very close in time. This weekend Ken Roczen is looking to rebound from what he had done a few weekends ago in Glendale and take the win bringing him closer to the points leader of Jett Lawrence. A lot of action this evening so be sure to keep up to date, by reading below.

Bad luck for Jett in Arlington where he ended up fourth.

Grabbing the holeshot was Jett Lawrence followed by Cooper Webb but instantly Jett Lawrence started creating a gap on the rest of the pack. Tomac would go down on the first lap as well as Jason Anderson so they would have to start fighting from deep in the pack. A lap later Malcolm Stewart and Ken Roczen would get together and find themselves both on the ground. Back up front, Hunter Lawrence sits in the third position, feeling the pressure from Aaron Plessinger. Aaron would eventually make the pass happen moving himself into third where he would start to catch Cooper Webb in second. Up front, it seemed that Jett Lawrence was going to just run away with it but in the final laps, he made a mistake where the track bit him and sent him down to the ground. Jett would remount quickly in second and push hard to catch Cooper Webb. In the last lap, Jett goes to make a pass on Webb and gets caught up behind Vince Friese and goes down putting him back to fourth. Webb would win and Tomad would grab second.

Cooper Webb wins Arlington!

Ken Roczen almost went down early but was able to regroup and finish up front.

Grabbing the holeshot was Aaron Plessinger who started charging early. Following Aaron was Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen who started to put pressure on. Chase Sexton did not get the best start and began having to work through the pack from near the eighth position. However even though in qualifying Aaron Plessinger was not the fastest he was riding extremely well in the heat defending off the charge from the riders behind him. Another notable rider who we haven’t seen up front much this season is Hunter Lawrence who sits in fourth. Tomac would catch Plessinger in the final couple laps and put the pressure on him, the two riders went back and forth multiple times ultimately with Eli Tomac making the pass stick and taking the heat race win.

Eli Tomac is looking fast tonight in Arlington.

Jett Lawrence wins the second heat of the evening.

Cooper Webb was able to grab the holeshot but was almost immediately passed by Jason Anderson through the whoops. A couple of turns later both Hunter Lawrence and Malcolm Stewart we also able to make a pass on the former champion of Cooper Webb sliding him back to fourth. Jett Lawrence was able to get right on the back wheel of Jason Anderson but attempted an aggressive pass that he could not complete causing him to double the triple and allowing Malcolm Stewart to get underneath him and take the second position away. While Malcolm was going after Jason Anderson for the lead, Jett was able to make a two-for-one pass getting both riders up the inside. Within the lap, however, Malcolm Stewart was able to make a great pass on Lawrence and put himself into the lead. It did not last though as Jett Lawrence was able to make great rhythm and get alongside Stewart completeing the pass and taking the victory.
