Now in his mid-50s, Doug Dubach has won 25 World Vet crowns, an AMA Supercross, the Canadian 450 National Championship and previous editions of the Vets MXDN. He will be at the World Vet to have a rematch with Kurt Nicoll.
Neville Bradshaw won all four motos of the Vets MXDN, but it wasn’t enough to get South Africa on the podium. They were inched out by Team Belgium. The next time we will see Nev is at the 2017 Motocross des Nations at Matterley Basin—where he will be on the South African team.
Former British Champion and 2017 EMX300 Champion Brad Anderson won the Evo 500 class on a CR500. Anderson stopped on the last lap to drink a beer with the fans, but then his CR500 wouldn’t start. Luckily his lead was big enough to get Big Red fired up in time.
Todd DeHoop (13) was one of a group of American riders who traveled to England for the Vets MXDN. That group included Doug Dubach, John Dowd, Mike Brown and DeHoop on Team USA and Joe Melton, who scored a third in the Pre-1985 Four-Stroke class.
