The third annual American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) kicked off today at the Orlando Convention Center. The event is an amalgamation of sorts, as motorcycle brands, dealers, aftermarket companies, industry insiders and the media come together to talk all things moto. It’s a worthwhile venture for the manufacturers, who have rolled out the red carpet in revealing their 2016 product lines to dealers. There haven’t been any earth-shattering model unveils, at least on the motocross side, although the 2016 Yamaha YZ450FX will send ripples through the off-road world. In terms of aftermarket product releases, MXA has been scouring the aisles inside the expansive Convention Center to find new goodies. Take a look below to see what’s going on in the first day of the AIMExpo. Click on the images for a better view.

_MG_5133Kawasaki is one of the latest manufacturers to join in the AIMExpo festivities. Of course the green crew were elated to reveal their newest signing–Eli Tomac.

_MG_5124Take a look at the new Cycra Powerflow radiator air scoops, which are now mounted to the one-piece Yamaha shrouds. Look for a test on this product in the coming months. Click here to find out more about Cycra Racing._MG_5166The Works Connection booth was a popular spot for dealers to visit.

_MG_5171Recognize this guy? You shouldn’t need to read his name badge to know that it’s the one and only “Dogger.” Ronnie Lechien is always good for a funny moto story. Look for a words of wisdom from Lechien on the website in the coming weeks. In the meantime, click here find out more about Maxima Racing.

_MG_5170Motion Pro has an array of performance products that make you go faster, as well as tools to make wrenching easier.

_MG_5165One of the coolest things at the AIMExpo is this setup at the ProX booth, which challenges people to install a two-stroke top end. The fastest person to do it will get a cool ProX prize.

_MG_5163Sunstar has a wide array of primary drive products, but did you know that they also make G.U.M. toothbrushes and shampoo? Take a look at the new blue anodizing on the Works Triplestar aluminum sprocket. The sprocket to the left is for a KTM mini cycle.

_MG_5147Yamaha has Jeremy Martin’s 250 National Championship-winning YZ250F on display. We were tempted to wheel it outside and spin a few laps around the parking lot. Keith McCarty, 2015 AMA Hall of Fame inductee, didn’t seem to keen on the idea. Maybe next time.

_MG_5148Jett Boots, formerly out of Italy, have been taken over by a Brazilian company. These boots were worn by Christophe Pourcel during the 2015 AMA 450 Nationals.

_MG_51376D Helmets is offering a variety of new designs on their MXA five-star rated ATR-1 helmet. The camo graphic is one of our new favorites.

_MG_5140Engine cutaways are always worth a look. Yamaha has a cutaway of their unique YZ450F engine design layout.

_MG_5131We spotted former MXA test rider, Tim Olson, giving a riveting presentation in the AIMExpo media hub. Tim has many responsibilities at Suzuki, and being able to talk to the media about new motorcycles is one of his perks.
